Five Reasons to Check Out Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Over the next week, Walt Disney World® will transform from pumpkins and Halloween to garlands, twinkle lights, and all things Christmas! At the heart of the holiday celebration is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Similar to Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party, MVMCP is a special ticketed event held on select nights in Magic Kingdom Park. It is on my Disney bucket list to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party someday, and when I do, these are the five things I will be looking forward to the most!

1. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This special holiday-themed parade includes the main mouse himself, along with his pals, Minnie, Goofy, Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Pooh, Tigger, the Seven Dwarfs, and even the big jolly guy in the red suit - Santa Claus! I have my spot on Main Street USA mentally picked out to watch the parade and wave to my favorite characters.

2. Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration. Some special friends are dropping by Cinderella's Castle to help Mickey Mouse get ready for the holidays. Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto will be there, of course, to help sing carols along with Alice and the White Rabbit, Woody and Jessie, Snow White and Dopey, Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket, and a few more surprise guests. Check a Times Guide or ask a Cast Member when you arrive for showtimes.

3. Character Greetings. More than 15 beloved characters will be attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and ready to spread the Christmas cheer with autographs, pictures, and hugs. Special character appearances include Santa Claus, Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws, and Scrooge McDuck! A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite holiday stories, especially the Disney version with Mickey, Donald, and old Scrooge McDuck, and I would love to meet him someday.

4. A Frozen Holiday Wish. Visit the Castle Forecourt Stage for this holiday-themed performance with Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and everyone's favorite snowman, Olaf. The show closes with Elsa giving everyone a very special gift as she transforms Cinderella's Castle into a magical ice palace. Check a Times Guide or ask a Cast Member when you arrive for showtimes.

5. Special Dining Opportunities. Three of the most popular Table Service restaurants in Magic Kingdom Park offer dinner reservations during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You can enjoy French cuisine at Be Our Guest, dine with Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table, or indulge in an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet at Crystal Palace. If dessert is more your speed, you can also make reservations for one of two amazing Holiday Wishes Dessert Packages. You can view the spectacular holiday fireworks display from unique vantage points by booking the Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace or the Fireworks Holiday Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing. Your MousePros agent can assist you with making reservations for any of these dinner or dessert dining experiences.

Doesn't this party sound absolutely amazing? And I didn't even touch on the complimentary hot chocolate and cookies and the snowfall on Main Street USA. What a special way to celebrate one of the most magical times of the year. Tickets start at $89 each and include entrance to Magic Kingdom Park from 7 pm-midnight. The party dates are:

November 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26 and 28 December 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 22
