The Epcot® International Food and Wine Festival is well underway and I'm already hearing talk of new holiday celebrations. But before we get to all of that, I think it is important to recognize another important milestone for my favorite of the four Walt Disney World Resort® parks. On October 1st, Epcot® will celebrate its 35th anniversary!

Epcot®, the park formerly known as EPCOT Center, opened its doors on October 1, 1982. It was the second of the now four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort®, and it is twice the size of Magic Kingdom Park. With a focus on technology and innovation in Future World and a focus on international culture in the World Showcase, Epcot® offers guests an opportunity to experience thrill rides, international cuisine, and educational encounters all in one park. At more than 300 acres, it is also all but guaranteed that you will get in all of your steps (and then some) for the day.
Walt Disney World® is the best at celebrating, well, anything, and judging by the retro-inspired 35th anniversary merchandise that the official Disney Parks Blog shared a few weeks ago, this milestone will be no exception. I am drooling over the vintage look of the items in this pic. Fingers crossed some of this merchandise will be available on the official Shop Disney Parks app!
